BRIGADIER GENERAL, YOUNGEST SON OF REAR ADMIRAL EAST AND RUTH HIS WIFE (NEE CUNNINGHAM) BORN IN WEYMOUTH ON JULY 27TH 1866, KILLED IN FRANCE ON SEPTEMBER 6TH 1918 WHILST COMMANDING 13TH CORLS HEAVY ARTILLERY. HE WAS A TRUE MAN OF GOD FOR WHOM GOD AND DUTY WERE THE SPRINGS OF LIFE. HE WAS NOT FOR GOD TOOK HIM
