- White marble tablet with carved design of flowers, pilars at sides, and cherubs carrying family coat of arms at top centre. Inscription set in circular moulding, with commemoration in raised, black lettering.

HE AWAITS TO WELCOIME ME, WHERE NO ARROW WOUNDS THE EAGLE SOARING, WHERE NO PARTINGS ARE FOR LOVE, WHERE THE HIGH & HOLY CALL US AGAIN TO MEET. / EVERY ONE THAT LOVETH IS BORN OF GOD, AND KNOWETH GOD, FOR GOD IS LOVE. / LIEUT. HENRY GROVE MANSEL-PLEYDELL M.C. OF WHATCOMBE AND 1ST BATTN DORSET REGT. KILLED WHILST OUT ON PATROL NEAR THIEPVAL IN FRANCE MAY 17TH 1916 AGED 21.
