    Maintenance History
The original Michealangelo cross was lost and a replacement wooden cross was put up in 1990. The memorial was refurbished between 2006- 2008 and is now grade 2 listed. 2004/2005: the Parish applied for funds to restore the War Memorial to the Dorset Association of Parish & Town Councils. Apparently they were given £2,000.00 from them, which was not sufficient to cover the total costs. They then applied to the Grants for War Memorials funded by the Wolfson Foundation and English Heritage, but there is no further information regarding the results.
