- Description
- Reredos of ten panels five on each side of the altar. The two outer panels were blank, but have now been used to commemorate those from 1939-45 The dedication is carved right along the top of both sets of panels, the lettering carved to stand proud in Gothic script. At the top of each of the panels is a regimental badge painted in full colour, beneath which is a name of one of the fallen, incised in black Gothic lettering. The WW2 names are on brass plaques on the formerly vacant panels and were added in 1995

- THIS REREDOS IS ERECTED TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ THOSE FROM THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-19/ (NAMES) On both WW2 Brass Plaques: In remembrance 1939-45 At bottom of left hand plaque: If I should die, think only this of me, / That there’s some corner of a foreign field / that is forever England. At bottom of right hand plaque: For our tomorrow, they gave their today
