'GREATER LOVE...FRIENDS' IN ITALICS. CROSS AT TOP OF PLAQUE ABOVE INSCRIPTION. INSET IN BOTTOM LEFT SIDE OF PLAQUE IS THE SOUTH AFRICAN WAR (1899-1902) MEDAL WITH RIBBON WITH CLASPS SOUTH AFRICA 1901 WITTENBERG, TRANSVAAL, CAPE COLONY
