PLAIN BRASS PLAQUE FIXED BY ROUND, LARGE-HEADED SCREWS AT EACH CORNER/ FIRST LINE AND NAME IN CAPITAL LETTERS. REMAINDER OF LETTER IN LOWER CASE WITH CAPITALS FOR MAIN WORKDS. 'GREATER LOVE...FRIENDS' IN ITALICS. CROSS AT TOP OF PLAQUE ABOVE INSCRIPTION. INSET IN BOTTOM LEFT SIDE OF PLAQUE IS THE SOUTH AFRICAN WAR (1899-1902) MEDAL WITH RIBBON WITH CLASPS SOUTH AFRICA 1901 WITTENBERG, TRANSVAAL, CAPE COLONY
