Description
Brass Plaque with dome at centre top, on a pattress which echoes the shape. There is a wide border of oak leaves and flowers. At centre top is a cross enclosed by a laurel wreath. The lettering is sunk in casting and enamelled black using Roman capitals, apart from the quotation at the bottom, which is in Gothic script.

ERECTED / IN MEMORY OF THE MEN / OF THE OVINGTON DISTRICT / WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR / KING AND COUNTRY / IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918/[names]/"Greater love hath no man than this, that / a man lay down his life for his friends"
