    Description
    A STONE, LATIN CROSS ATOP A DOUBLE PEDESTAL AND THREE-STEPPED BASE. ORIGINALLY, BRONZE PLAQUES ON EACH SIDE OF TWO PEDESTALS BORE THE INSCRIPTION AND NAMES IN RAISED LETTERING: THE NAMES WERE LISTED IN THREE COLUMNS ON EACH PANEL IN PLAIN CAPITALS, WHILE THE LETTERING FOR THE KOREAN WAR WAS IN ROMAN CAPITALS. THERE WAS A RELIEF BORDER AROUND PLAQUES OF LAUREL GARLAND, EXCEPT FOR THE KOREAN WAR PLAQUE. THERE WAS A FOURTH PLAQUE WITH WW1 MILITARY HONOURS UNVEILED IN 2006. IN 2016, FOLLOWING THE THEFT OF THE BRONZE PLAQUES, FIRST IN 2010 AND THEN AGAIN IN 2016, THE BRONZE PLAQUES WERE REPLACED WITH BLACK MARBLE WITH WHITE, INCISED LETTERING.
