- Brass Plaque. There is a single line border. At left is the family coat of arms. Lettering is in Roman capitals, with the quotation at the bottom in Gothic lower case.

MOUNTED INFANTRY./ ONLY SON OF HENRY JOHN WASTELL COULSON OF NEWBROUGH HALL IN THIS PARISH./ KILLED IN ACTION AT LAMBRECHFONTEIN, SOUTH AFRICA, ON MAY 19TH 1901, AGED 22./ HE RECEIVED THE DISTINGUISHED SERVICE ORDER FOR HIS CONDUCT IN THE CAMPAIGN OF 1900/ AND WAS LATER AWARDED THE VICTORIA CROSS FOR CONSPICUOUS GALLANTRY IN THE ACTION/ WHERE HE FELL, IN SAVING A GUN AND RESCUING A WOUNDED TROOPER UNDER HEAVY FIRE./ "WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT."
