- Brass Plaque. There is a border of two parallel lines. At the top is the dedication. Below this is etched the outline of a scroll, which contains the names of those who died. The names of those who served are listed in two columns at the bottom. Lettering is sunk in casting and enameled black, using a mixture of Roman and plain capitals.

- Erected by the inhabitants/ of Langley on Tyne/ to commemorate the services of/ the Men and Women/ from this district who served/ in the 2nd World War/ 1939-1945/ Killed in action/ (names)/ Died through war service/ (name)/ Greater love hath no man than this, that a man/ lay down his life for his friends/ (names of the served)/ for King and Country.
