    Plaque of white marble in red alabaster frame, with dome at centre top, mounted on pattress of green marble. On the plaque, the badge of the Northumberland Fusiliers is raised in half relief in green and red marble. Lettering is in sans serif capitals for the dedication and names, with the quotation in Gothic script
