    TALL CRUCIFIX AND FIGURE OF CHRIST MOUNTED ON CRUCIFORM PLINTH The cruciform plinth is made of stone with the inscriptions and names carved in relief. The Latin cross is made of timber and the large figure of Christ appears to be of bronze.

    Wood that forms the cross was renewed in 1966: a plaque on the memorial says this was undertaken by Dr L Schmidt (see IWM Recording Form for details).
