    Community hall with dedicatory plaque inside. WW2 memorial board. The board records Poppleton Road area casualties from the WW2 armed services, plus civilian casualties of the Baedecker raid on the City.

WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR On Plaque within newer Hall: THIS BUILDING WAS OPENED/ BY/ MR ROY HUDSON/ PRESIDENT OF THE POPPLETON ROAD MEMORIAL HALL/ ON/ SATURDAY APRIL 7TH 1990/ THIS OPENING PLAQUE WAS UNVEILED/ BY/ THE LORD MAYOR AND LADY MAYORESS/ COUNCILLOR JACK ARCHER AND MRS ENA ARCHER
