IN PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY OF LIEUT COL. ERNEST VAUX CMG DSO DL OF BRETTANBY MANOR WHO COMMANDED THE MAXIM GUNS OF THE 5TH IMPERIAL YEOMANRY IN SOUTH AFRICA 1899 - 1901 AND THE 7TH DLI, T.F. IN FRANCE AND BELGIUM 1914 - 1918. DIED 21 NOV 1925 AGED 61. ALSO OF HIS SON ERNEST ORD VAUX, THE QUEEN'S BAYS SECONDED TO THE SOMALILAND CAMEL CORPS K.A.R.. DIED AT ADEN 29 DEC 1936 AFTER A POLO ACCIDENT AT HAR GEISA, 26TH DEC. BURIED AT ADEN. AGED 25. ALSO OF EMILY EVE NELLAM VAUX, WIFE OF LIEUT COL ERNEST VAUX DIED 10 NOV 1966 AGED 90 (EXACT LINE SPACING UNKNOWN)
