    Description
    Three light stained glass window by Burlison & Grylls, depicting a man wearing a red cloak and a papal tiara carrying a sword upright. He is sitting upon a white horse which tramples a dragon in flames. They are surrounded by knights mounted on horseback carrying tilting spears. The leftmost front row knight looking directly at the viewer, is Aubrey Coombes the deceased, a photographic likeness. In the tracery 5 angels carry ribbons on which is written “He was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.” This is a quotation from St. John's Revelation 19:11 Window depicts the Army of Heaven from Revelation. Burlison & Grylls used the same cartoon for several windows round the country.

    TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF AUBREY CECIL JAMES COOMBE 19TH (PUBLIC SCHOOLS BATT) ROYAL FUSILIERS WHO FELL AT CUINICHY, FRANCE,/ 28th. DECEMBER 1915. IN THE GREAT WAR. 1914-18, AGED 24 YEARS. THIS WINDOW IS THE GIFT OF HIS PARENTS, JAMES AND EDITH COOMBES, HARROGATE. HE WAS CALLED FAITHFUL AND TRUE, AND IN RIGHTEOUSNESS HE DOTH JUDGE AND MAKE WAR.
