    Description
Three light east window decorated as below. Associated brass plaque with inscription. A young Christ in glory is depicted in white in the centre light, surrounded by a night-time scene of sleeping soldiers, with their rifles stacked - perhaps a scene during the Battle of the Somme, in which the subject was mortally wounded. Two sentries are depicted in the left light, one in the foreground stood with arms at the slope, another standing with bayonet fixed beyond him, In the right-hand light is an Officer with a regimental badge on his helmet, smoking a cigarette. sat in thought before a blazing fire. This may be a portrait of Lt Hyne. A open kit-bag lies beneath the central figure. An accompanying brass plaque is on the wall nearby. The subject is buried in the churchyard where his memorial plaque details fuller circumstances of his death.
