Description: Tall stone obelisk on square pedestal on square mound with eleven steps in centre of each side. On the base of the obelisk there are memorial plaques with a dedication.
Inscription: ERECTED/ BY VOLUNTARY SUBSCRIPTION/ FOUNDATION STONE LAID/ 16TH SEPTEMBER 1922/ UNVEILED 26TH SEPTEMBER 1923/ (Names)/ IN MEMORIAM/ PEOPLE OF SCARBOROUGH/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE/ SECOND WORLD WAR 1939-1945/ "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS"
