WMR Reference Number: 2451
Description: Flag pole with two dark grey granite tablets set on light grey granite bases each side. Badges emerge from the top of the tablets - of the North Russia Club on right-hand tablet, and of the Arctic Campaign Memorial Trust on the left-hand tablet. The inscriptions and the badges are incised and painted in white. Earlier photographs show the tablets mounted on concrete bases, and note the deterioration in their condition, and that the flag pole was in the style of a ship's top mast. Photographs from May 2022 show that the changes to both - and the deterioration in the appearance of the badges above the inscriptions.
