    Original nowy-headed WW1 brass plaque on a wooden base, with three holes caused by WW2 bombing. Modern explanatory black plaque with golden lettering alongside.

    New plaque: TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE/ OF THE METHODIST CHURCH/ IN POULTON ROAD, WALLASEY/ WHICH WAS DESTROYED IN AN/ AIR RAID ON 12TH MARCH 1941./ THIS CHURCH AND SCHOOL/ PREMISES IN PASTURE ROAD,/ MORETON, WERE LARGELY BUILT, WITH FUNDS ACCRUING FROM/ WAR DAMAGE COMPENSATION/ PAYABLE IN RESPECT OF THE/ POULTON ROAD/ CHURCH./ IN GRATEFUL ACKNOWLEDGMENT/ OF THE SUBSTANTIAL GIFT/ RECEIVED FROM THE JOSEPH/ RANK BENEVOLENT TRUST/ TOWARD THE BUILDING COSTS/ OF THESE PREMISES. On original plaque: PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH/ THE LIGHT OF LIFE/ ROLL OF HONOUR/ (Names)/ THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE
