Description: Wall-mounted brass plaque. mounted in ornate wooden frame with shelving at base to hold two brass vases. nowy-headed. black lettering Foliated design around border of plaque. king's initials, "GR", top centre. oil lamps at bottom left and right. The WW1 War Memorial brass has been replaced on the wall by a plain steel plate. The WW1 War Memorial brass from the Post Office, Argyle Street, Birkenhead has been re-erected on the wall in the lobby of the Callers Office, Lettery Delivery Office, Pacific Road, Birkenhead, Wirral, Merseyside in anticipation of the closure of the Argyle Street Post Office.
