- Rectangular brass plaque on wood ground. On the left there is the badge of the Liverpool pals bearing the motto "Sans Charger", in red. On the right there is a dedication in black lettering.

- IN THIS HALL ON 31ST AUGUST 1914,/ THE FIRST VOLUNTEERS OF THE/ LIVERPOOL PALS, 17TH TO 20TH BATTALIONS OF/ THE KING'S (LIVERPOOL REGIMENT)/ ANSWERED LORD DERBY'S CALL/ TO SERVE IN THE GREAT WAR./ THESE WERE THE FIRST OF THE MANY/ PALS BATTALIONS TO BE RAISED/ THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY./ THIS PLAQUE WAS ERECTED BY/ THE MERSEYSIDE BRANCH OF THE/ WESTERN FRONT ASSOCIATION ON/ 31ST AUGUST 1994.
