    Description
Wooden wheeled battlefield cross with a circular brass boss bearing an incised inscription at the junction of the arms which is almost certainly a later addition. The wood appears waxed , all edges are chamfered and the workmanship is of a higher standard than is usual . .Below the cross is a brass dedicatory plaque with an incised inscription. At the top of the upright is a GRU tag , no other original markers remain although there are two remaining holes above the GRU markers . Above the cross which is wall hung is a pierced wood plate . Its proximity to the cross suggests some connection which is unclear .
