- Granite obelisk, with two crossed wreaths Eagle encircled with barbed wire inscribed on main face
- Inscription
- KATYN/1940/(Polish inscription. 'THE CONSCIENCE OF THE WORLD CALLS FOR A VERIFICATION OF THE TRUTH)/IN REMEMBRANCE OF 14,500 POLISH PRISONERS OF WAR WHO DISAPPEARED IN 1940 FROM CAMPS AT KOZIELSK, STAROBIELSK AND OSTASZKOW OF WHOM 4,500 WERE LATER IDENTIFIED IN A MASS GRAVE AT KATYN NEAR SMOLENSK.
