    Description
    Organ with nine sections of the panelling bearing inscription and names, with the school badge on the central panel. (Note- this organ was removed in the late 20th centrury so the memorial no longer exists.) There was a separate brass plaque on a wooden backboard in the Wordsworth Hall at the rear of the premises- this still exists.

    DULCE ET DECORUM EST PRO PATRIA MORI (this is the old, lost memorial). The current memorial reads: IN TOKEN OF THE GRATITUDE / OF / THE ROYAL GRAMMAR SCHOOL / NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE / FOR THE USE OF THIS HALL / AND THE/WORDSWORTH METHODIST CHURCH/DURING THE/WORLD WAR EVACUATION / 1939-1944
