    Two stepped stone base surmounted by an octagonal plinth, tapered shaft and cross. Inscription carved onto the plinth. Sword in relief on head of the cross.

    IN EVERLASTING AND GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE MEN FROM WILLINGALE DOE AND SHELLOW WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918. IT IS GIVEN TO ALL MEN TO DIE BUT NOT TO ALL TO DIE FOR THEIR COUNTRY/ (Names)/ AND THE MEN OF 387 BOMBARDMENT GROUP U.S.A.A.F. STATIONED HERE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR
