    Large castellated polished marble tablet with further tablet inset and framed rosso antico marble with a surround of sicilian, with inlaid crosses in sienna and tinos. Enclosed within a raised dais, base and rails.

    (Across top): Lest We Forget (MAIN TABLET): THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION IN GRATEFUL AND REVERENTIAL REMEMBRANCE OF THE / LOFTY PATRIOTISM, COURAGEOUS SERVICE AND NOBLE SELF-SACRIFICEOF THE OFFICERS, NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS / AND MEN OF THE ARMY AND SEAMEN OF THE ROYAL NAVY FROM THE PARISH WHO WERE KILLED IN ACTION / DIED OF WOUNDS OR DISEASE OR WERE DROWNED DURING THE GREAT WAR OF 1914 TO 1918 / THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES UNTO THE DEATH REV. XII, 2 / THESE NOBLY PLAYED THEIR PARTS, THESE HEARD THE CALL FOR GOD AND KING AND HOME.
