    Description
    Memorial hospital, built of brick and two storeys in height. There is a stone tablet incorporate into the brickwork above the entrance and a metal plaque mounted on the front of the building. Inside the hospital, Lady Gwendoline Colvin unveiled a tablet containing the names of the Fallen.

    2011: Hospital demolished. New building under construction. 2009: The hospital is to be demolished and replaced by a new building, the Ongar War Memorial Medical Centre, on the same site. The building will incorporate the town's two surgeries, a dentist and various clinics. A new war memorial is also proposed as part of the development. 1990s: Reports on the proposed closure the hospital.
