- Appears to be a blacked oak board with panels of sycamore and letters inlaid in ebony Laurel wreath at top and two scrolls at bottom. Carving in gilded lime

- THEY WHOSE NAMES ARE INSCRIBED/WERE AMONG THOSE WHO AT THE CALL/OF KING AND COUNTRY/LEFT ALL THAT WAS DEAR TO THEM/ENDURED HARDNESS - FACED DANGER - AND/FINALLY PASSED OUT OF THE SIGHT OF MEN/BY THE PATH OF DUTY AND SELF - SACRIFICE/GIVING UP THEIR OWN LIVES/THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE IN FREEDOM, 1914-1918. LET THOSE THAT COME AFTER SEE TO IT THAT THEIR NAMES ARE NOT FORGOTTEN
