- Description
- Rectangular plaque mounted on wood with decoration of copper routed out and brazed to background surrounds inscription and a line 15mm from edge of plaque forms a frame. Decoration above the inscription consists of the enamelled insignia of East Surrey Regiment (green, red and in the centre a silver castle all surrounded by a wreath of bay leaves with red berries on either side of this spray of leaves. At sides of the conscription isa long pointed Iona cross with red enamel circle (right hand side bent loose); beneath the inscription in incised Niello, Gothic capitals and 1/c.
