    Large gilt angel holding lifeboat mounted on wall. Brass plaque, with inscription engraved, on wood mounted on south wall of church.

    THE ANGEL/OF/GOD'S PLEASURE/IN EVER-LIVING AND LOVING REMEMBRANCE OF W/T CHIEF WREN/CECILLY MONICA BRUCE BENJAMIN AGE 20 AND W/T CHIEF WREN/PHYLLIS BACON AGED 21 GREAT FRIENDS AND HAPPY COMPANIONS/WHO GAVE TO LIFE THEIR JOYOUS YOUTH AND TO DUTY THEIR LOYAL/ DEVOTION/ REMEMBERING ALSO THE TWENTY OTHER MEMBERS OF THE/ W.R.N.S. AND ONE NAVAL NURSING OFFICER WHO PERISHED WITH/ THEM IN THE S.S.AGUILA, TORPEDOED AT SEA IN THE MORNING OF/ 19TH AUGUST 1941 ON THEIR WAY TO TAKE UP DUTIES AT GIBRALTER/ "AND IN THE FOURTH WATCH OF THE NIGHT JESUS WENT UNTO THEM WALKING ON THE SEA"
