    Three-stepped base surmounted by plinth and obelisk. Inscription on tablets set into sides of plinth. Site enclosed by wrought iron fence.

    SIDE ONE: TO THE HONOUR AND IN/ GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF/ THE MEN OF FRODSHAM WHOSE/ NAMES ARE HERE RECORDED/ AND WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE/ SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY DURING/ THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918/ WE REMEMBER ALSO WITH/ SORROW AND WITH PRIDE/ THOSE WHO FOLLOWED AFTER/ AND TROD THE SELF SAME PATH/ OF DUTY AND SACRIFICE OTHER SIDES: (Names...) ENTRANCE SIGN: WAR MEMORIAL SITE OVERTON HILL/ IN THE EARLY 1920'S SEVERAL LANDOWNERS GAVE ADJOINING/ PLOTS OF LAND TO FRODSHAM PARISH COUNCIL TO BE HELD IN TRUST/ FOR THE SITE OF THE MEMORIAL ERECTED IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF/ FRODSHAM/ WHO GAVE THIER LIVES IN THE WAR. A FURTHER CONDITION/ WAS THAT THERE SHOULD BE AN OPEN SPACE FOR THE USE AND/ ENJOYMENT OF THE PEOPLE OF FRODSHAM FOREVER. ENTRANCE GATE: THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE/ 1914 1918 1939 1945
