    Description
    A rectangular plinth on which are three cast figures. The centre one depicts a sergeant advancing "over the top", symbolising Victory. On his right is the dead body of a young officer, symbolising Sacrifice and on his left is a Lewis gunner covering the advancing troops with gunfire. Dedicatory inscription on plaques placed on the sides of the plinth. Memorial stands within an area enclosed by hedging and a wrought iron fence.

    Upper plaque 6 o'clock: TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF ALL RANKS/ THE CAMERONIANS (SCOTTISH RIFLES) WHO,/ TO UPHOLD LIBERTY AND JUSTICE IN THE WORLD,/ LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES IN THE TWO WORLD WARS/ 1914-1918 AND 1939-1945. Middle plaque 6 o'clock: 6/7th BATTALION CAMERONIANS (SCOTTISH RIFLES)/ WAS DISBANDED 31st MARCH 1967/ AND THE FIRST REGULAR BATTALION 14th MAY 1968/ THUS ENDING THE REGIMENTS LONG ASSOCIATION/ WITH THE CITY OF GLASGOW Lower plaque 6 o'clock: THIS PLAQUE WAS UNVEILED BY/ THE LORD PROVOST OF GLASGOW/ THE RT. HON. JOHN JOHNSTON 3 o'clock face: O VALIANT HEARTS, WHO TO YOUR GLORY CAME/ THROUGH DUST AND CONFLICT AND THRO' BATTLE FLAME/ TRANQUIL YOU LIE. YOUR KNIGHTLY VIRTUE PROVED/ YOUR MEMORY HALLOWED IN THE LAND YOU LOVED. 12 o'clock face: Plaque with regimental emblem and theatres of war and dates. 9 o'clock face: BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH AND I / WILL GIVE THEE A CROWN OF LIFE.
