Description: Two-stepped base surmounted by plinth and figure of a solider. Bronze solider is in battledress standing in Flanders mud with helmet raised in right hand and rifle held in left, butt to the ground and angled out from body. Inscription on bronze plaques on the sides of the plinth. Second World War names on plaques at the base of the plinth.
Inscription: (6 o'clock face): 1914 1919/ TO THE HONOURED/ MEMORY OF THE/ MEN OF/ CHERTSEY/ WHO FELL IN THE/ GREAT WAR/ ALSO OF THOSE/ 1939 WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES 1945/ IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR/ (Names) (3 and 12 o'clock face): (Names) (9 o'clock face): (Names)/ ALSO IN GRATEFUL RECOGNITION/ OF ALL THOSE WHO FOUGHT IN/ THE WAR
