    Description
Arch with flanking groups of figures representing 'Struggle' on one side and 'Sacrifice' on the other. A cross is mounted at the centre of the arch. 'Struggle' depicts a seated female figure representing Peace who tries to restrain a semi-nude young male figure who is crouched in her lap and is anxious to be released from her grip. Peace is clothed in a shawl and looks ahead as she holds the male by the upper arms. The male figure looks up to Peace as he strains for release. 'Sacrifice' depicts the seated female figure of Peace with arms outstretched as the semi-male youth lies dead across her lap. The head of the young male is tipped back over her left knee and Peace looks down into his face.
