    Description
    Apex-headed, portrait oriented marble tablet set within a stone frame which in turn is set into a pointed-arch wall recess. Surrounding decor comprises three white marble bosses with crossed swords and palms of victory; crown and crossed flags; crossed guns and wreath. A WW2 landscape oriented, tablet is situated at a shallow angle at the base of the Great War memorial. All text incised and infilled with black paint.

    Main tablet: In Loving and Grateful Memory / OF BARDWELL MEN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES / FOR KING AND COUNTRY / IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918 / (23 NAMES) / "Their name liveth for evermore." // Base tablet: 1939 - 1945 / (3 NAMES) // Flower holder: WE WILL / REMEMBER / THEM
