- White marble tablet with inscription in black lettering. Carved cloak relief draping over left side of tablet. Carved hat, sword and bag at top.

- SACRED/ TO THE MEMORY OF/ LIEUTENANT COLONEL/ JOHN WALLACE KING C.B./ WHO COMMANDED THE 14TH LIGHT DRAGOONS/ DURING THE GREATER PART OF/ THE PUNJAUB (SIC) CAMPAIGN OF 1848-1849,/ AND DIED AT LAHORE/ ON THE 6TH OF JULY 1850./ THIS TABLET/ WAS ERECTED BY HIS BROTHER OFFICERS,/ AS A TESTIMONY/ THAT THE MANY VIRTUES/ WHICH HAS ENDEARED HIM TO/ NUMEROUS CIRCLE OF FRIENDS AT HOME,/ WERE APPRECIATED BY THOSE WHO/ WHO WITNESSED HIS GALLANTRY ABROAD,/ WHILE COMMANDING HIS REGIMENT/ IN THE FIELD.
