Description: Stained glass two-light window, representing war and peace; the left light depicting Archangel St Michael slaying a dragon; the right depicting Archangel St Gabriel beneath a dove carrying an olive-leaf. To the right of the window is the associated rectangular brass plaque, bearing the inscription.
Inscription: To the Glory of God and in loving memory of / Evelyn Ernest Arnold Collisson 2nd Lieutenant 2nd Bedfordshire Regiment / who was killed in action in France February 23rd 1916. / The only son of the Revd Thomas Collisson / [During whose Incumbency (1896-1916) the Churches of/ Upper and Lower Gravenhurst were restored] and Florence his wife. / This window was erected by his fellow Officers and many friends.

Maintenance History: The right light of the window was recorded as being missing in February 1993. (Two photographs of the intact window are viewable on the Bedfordshire Churches website - see references section). The redundant Church is Grade 1 listed by Historic England (1311911), and is maintained by The Churches Conservation Trust.

His Grace the Duke of Bedford performed the unveiling, witnessed by a packed congregation of local dignitaries and the late Lt Collisson's relatives, friends and colleagues.

Dedicated

Reverend Thomas Collisson (father of deceased) took the service and performed the dedication.
