    Description
A screen in dark polished oak . At the centre is the figure of Christ with halo and his arms raised , on the right the figure of St George with the slain dragon at his feet and on the left the figure of St Alban . The figure of Christ is larger than the two other figures and all three are standing on pedestals . The structure of the screen consists of five columns forming gothic arches , and between the figures are two vertical panels with the names of the fallen in black on a gold coloured background . Below the central figure is a third panel of similar appearance with further names , likely to be casualties identified by later research . On each side of the screen are the Regimental and Queens colours of the East Anglian Regiment . There appears to be no direct connection between these colours and the memorial and as the East Anglian Regiment was formed by amalgamation in 1959 these colours are not considered by be part of the memorial .
