WMR Reference Number: 1836
Description: Single-stepped base surmounted by a rough hewn tapering rectangular plinth, rectangular shaft with wheel cross. Sword in relief on front face of shaft. Inscriptions on base of shaft, plinth and step. The whole memorial is set in a small enclosed garden area, at the eastern corner of Churchyard, facing the High Street.
Inscription: 6 o'clock face - base of shaft : THE / GLORIOUS / DEAD // 6 o'clock face - plinth : TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN / MEMORY OF THE MEN OF DEAN / FALLEN IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919. / (16 NAMES in two columns) / THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE // 6 o'clock face - step : 1939-1945 / (3 NAMES)
