Description: Rough hewn stone obelisk set on to low rough hew wall, set on flagstones. The dedications are written on wooden and bronze tablets mounted on the front face. The emblem of the Burma Star Association is in the top centre.
Inscription: WHEN YOU GO HOME/ TELL THEM OF US AND SAY/ FOR YOUR TOMORROW/ WE GAVE OUR TODAY/ ERECTED TO THE MEMORY/ OF OUR FALLEN COMRADES/ ISLE OF THANET BRANCH/ 1ST DECEMBER 1990/ THIS MEMORIAL WAS DEDICATED BY/ THE LORD BISHOP OF DOVER/ IN THE PRESENCE OF/ THE COUNTESS MOUNTBATTEN/ OF BURMA CD JP DI/ OCTOBER 6TH 1991/ THE BUILDING OF THIS MEMORIAL WAS/ MADE POSSIBLE BY FUNDS RAISED BY/ MEMBERS AND LADIES OF THE/ THANET BRANCH/ BURMA STAR ASSOCIATION
