    Description
    A botonne cross with a Celtic disc, cross carved in relief on main face. There is a sword of sacrifice in relief on column below cross. Set upon a stone base with carved inscription, upon an octagonal five stepped base. A sailing ship and St George slaying the dragon is carved above the base on the 12 and 6 o'clock faces respectively.

    'I IF I BE LIFTED UP FROM THE EARTH, WILL DRAW ALL MEN INTO ME' 12 o'clock face: IN MANUS /TUAS/DOMINE// TO THE MEN OF/ RAMSGATE WHO/ DIED GLORIOUSLY/ IN THE GREAT/ WAR 1914 - 1919/ TRUE LOVE BY LIFE/ TRUE LOVE BY DEATH IS TRIED/ LIVE THOU FOR ENGLAND/ WE FOR ENGLAND DIED/ IN REMEMBRANCE OF/ THE RAMSGATE MEN AND WOMEN/ IN THE SERVICES/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ 1939 - 1945/ IN REMEMBRANCE OF/ ALL WHO LOST THEIR LIVES/ IN RAMSGATE/ THROUGH ENEMY ACTION/ 1939 - 1945/
