    Description
    A tablet in an alcove in a wall flanked by two iron crosses. There is a figure of a kneeling, helmeted German soldier with head bowed, holding a rifle, on the tablet.
    Inscription
    HIER RUHEN DEUTSCHE KRIEGER IN/ FREMDER ERDE DOCH UNVERGESSEN/ 1914 DORCHESTER 1919/ Translated as:- Here rest German warriors in foreign soil yet unforgotten.

    Maintenance History
    Restored by the German Embassy in 1990. Restoration work on the memorial, including replacement and repainting of the wrought iron bars, was funded by Dorchester Town Council in 2007.
